Who You Are:
The Vice President, Partnership Tax, will be responsible for assisting with partnership tax matters, including preparation and review of quarterly estimated tax payments, tax returns, and tax workpapers. This person will also collaborate with other members of the Galaxy Tax and Finance teams, as well as external advisors, and report to the Head of Tax.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with managing partnership tax compliance matters for Galaxy’s asset management funds, as well as other Galaxy partnership entities, working closely with other members of the Tax and Finance teams, as well as outside tax advisors and service providers
- Manage day-to-day operational tasks for partnerships tax matters, including but not limited to reviewing and responding to notices, making tax payments, and updating/maintaining organized tax files and workpapers
- Assist with ad hoc projects and perform analysis in connection with business directives and initiatives as the digital asset and blockchain landscape evolves
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of progressive partnership tax experience in a Big 4 and/or private industry setting
- Experience in asset/investment management, including fund-of-fund investments, financial services/technology, and/or banking/capital markets
- Firm understanding of partnership tax laws and principles, as well as familiarity with international and corporate tax considerations within a fund context
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- CPA license required, Master’s in Taxation a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently, but within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Bonus Points:

- Experience with digital assets and blockchain investments
- Experience with automating tax processes
