The opportunity
As an Associate II, Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the research and development of our quantitative risk models. You will work across the organization, partnering with teams like Investments, Finance, Valuation, and Pricing to manage and monitor risk at an enterprise level. This is a remote position that requires a blend of technical expertise and clear communication, as you will be instrumental in helping us navigate complex market and capital risks.
A day in the life
- You will enhance and refine our existing models to ensure we are effectively measuring and monitoring market, investment, and capital risks.
- You will research and apply new analytical techniques, including the use of AI, to uncover deeper risk insights and metrics.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to provide accurate analysis for strategic initiatives, such as stress testing, portfolio trades, and mergers and acquisitions.
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and a strong background in finance. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:
- An undergraduate degree in a quantitative field like finance, economics, or accounting.
- Two to four years of experience in the financial services industry, with a preference for those who have worked in insurance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex formulas and manage large data sets.
- A solid grasp of asset-liability matching, risk and return relationships, and how economic indicators influence financial assets.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to clearly explain complex findings to various stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
