What you bring
We are seeking a mid-level Security Engineer to join us on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will leverage your software development background to help us protect our digital assets and strengthen our security posture. You will work from anywhere in the United States as part of a collaborative team that values mentorship and growth. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Defending our systems against threats by gaining hands-on experience with security methodologies, tools, and malware investigation.
- Analyzing our codebase for vulnerabilities and collaborating with developers to implement secure coding practices.
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement and applying security best practices to protect our users and infrastructure.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn and possesses a strong analytical mindset. You should have at least two years of experience working with core languages such as Go, Ruby, or Terraform. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to continuously develop their skills in this space. Proficiency in English is required, and while not mandatory, experience with scripting languages like Python or BASH, as well as familiarity with cloud security or industry frameworks, will set you apart.
