What is this role?
This is a full-time, senior-level Manager, Software Development position. The role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in India. You will report directly to the Director of Software Development and will be responsible for the output and growth of multiple engineering teams.
What will you do?
- Guide your teams through the full delivery cycle, from design to production release, while working closely with Product Owners, QA, and engineering leadership.
- Track and communicate team performance and project progress to stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships with both internal partners and external collaborators.
- Shape engineering practices by rolling out proven methodologies, offering technical direction, and supporting hiring, performance management, and goal-setting for engineers.
What makes you a great fit?
We are looking for someone with at least nine years of software development experience, including three or more years leading people through performance management and three or more years managing projects that involve multiple stakeholders. You should also bring three or more years of service ownership, ideally with Tier-1 services, and a hands-on approach to coding and mentoring.
Strong problem-solving, programming, and communication skills are essential, along with an object-oriented mindset and a defensive coding approach that includes knowledge of OWASP. You will need proven experience with SQL, JSON, REST, .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, relational database design, Agile, team building, infrastructure automation, build automation, Microsoft Azure, and both event-driven and service-oriented architectures. Experience with Vue.js, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure WebJobs, App Services, Service Bus, or Storage Queues is a plus. Above all, you value collaboration, continuous improvement, and taking ownership from small features to large, cross-service systems.
