Product Manager, Platform at Astra

What you bring

As a Senior Product Manager for our platform, you will lead the evolution of our core APIs, developer experience, and infrastructure. This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States where you will shape the architecture that allows our customers to build sophisticated financial products. Your work will center on the following key areas:

• Designing and maintaining our core API platform, including authentication, rate limiting, and error handling.
• Developing our control plane and event-driven architecture to provide customers with powerful, programmable routing logic.
• Enhancing the overall developer experience by improving documentation, SDKs, and onboarding flows to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with at least six years of product management experience, including three years specifically focused on developer-facing platform or API products. You should have a deep technical understanding of REST, webhooks, and event-driven architecture. Success in this role requires the ability to think like a platform architect and the skill to write precise, technical specifications that serve as both product documents and clear engineering contracts. You must be comfortable working in a remote environment, possess exceptional written communication skills, and be willing to travel occasionally. A strong interest in the mechanics of financial systems is essential, even if you are new to the payments industry.
