We are currently looking for a Database Engineer III to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our SQL Server databases while managing security, integrity, and performance through regular query tuning and index maintenance.
- Collaborate with our data and analytics engineers to support data warehousing efforts in Azure Synapse Analytics, ensuring that ETL processes and data integrations remain efficient and secure.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to provide database support, including troubleshooting, managing database changes, and developing automation tools to streamline our deployment and monitoring workflows.
Requirements
- Between 6 and 9 years of professional experience working as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database performance tuning, alongside a solid grasp of database architecture and design principles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, specifically Azure Synapse Analytics and Data Factory.
- Familiarity with database security best practices, access control mechanisms, and high availability solutions.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate database management tasks.
- A performance-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in an agile, entrepreneurial environment.
