Responsibilities
- Architect and build core components for pricing, billing, and authentication to support our messaging and AI products.
- Lead the transition of our systems toward a more microservices-centric architecture.
- Design and maintain REST APIs for both internal and external use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and deploy innovative technical solutions.
- Mentor team members on distributed systems design, coding standards, and best practices.
- Guide the team in balancing technical constraints with business priorities to deliver high-quality results.
- Take ownership of project scoping, task estimation, and risk management.
- Contribute to team health by providing direct feedback and refining our internal processes.
Must-haves
- Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams or complex projects, ideally within a SaaS environment.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems design and microservices at scale.
- Hands-on development experience with Python, Go, and React.
- Proficiency in database modeling using both relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
- Solid understanding of React component design, state management, and testing.
- Ability to build modular, extensible architectures that adapt to changing product goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
