Role at a glance
We are searching for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States. Please note that successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the reliability status level and pass an ITAR security assessment.
Your impact
- Lead the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects, from initial concept and architecture design to final verification, validation, and maintenance planning.
- Design, support, and test sophisticated software systems while proactively proposing process improvements and providing accurate task estimations.
- Act as a key technical communicator, ensuring project requirements are met while keeping management updated on progress and upholding strict compliance standards.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a motivated problem-solver with a strong background in safety-critical environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of technical experience in software development, particularly within highly regulated industries like aviation or medical.
- Proficiency in C and assembly programming, along with hands-on experience using ARM, PowerPC, or DSPs.
- Expertise in both bare-metal development and RTOS environments.
- A solid understanding of software development tools, including IDEs, compilers, debuggers, and version control systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace software standards like DO-178C is considered a significant asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
