Aviya Aerospace Systems is a premier provider of engineering services for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications, supporting top-tier contractors with expertise in software, systems, and hardware. We are looking for a Senior DPHM Software Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario, for a full-time, hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage ETL pipelines, databases, and system APIs.
- Manage the full lifecycle of pipeline development from initial concept to production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing delays or inaccuracies.
- Execute large-scale data reprocessing within cloud environments.
- Maintain web portal interfaces and provide ongoing field support.
- Lead design reviews and approval meetings to ensure all work meets engineering standards.
- Create and present release engineering reports to update stakeholders on project status.
- Ensure data integrity by maintaining the DPHM SSIS data pipeline.
- Validate digital engine services during the EIS rollout process.
- Assist in the creation of KPI dashboards for specific engine models.
- Analyze operational data gathered from field operations and test cells.
- Develop and verify health monitoring functions, data cleansing scripts, and associated interface tools.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of industry experience.
- A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, though we will consider candidates with a background in Data Science or Data Engineering.
- Strong grasp of data governance, including security, quality, and compliance.
- Expertise in SQL and Delta Lake database management.
- Experience performing complex data queries and exploratory analysis to uncover insights.
- Proficiency in software validation and verification testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and strong logical problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in English.
