Aviya Aerospace Systems is a premier provider of engineering solutions for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. We support top-tier contractors with deep expertise in software, systems, mechanical, and hardware engineering, and we are looking for an Electrical Electronics Engineer to join our team in Longueuil, Quebec, to focus on obsolescence management.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical liaison to mitigate obsolescence risks and manage projects to ensure seamless material flow.
- Improve our internal obsolescence management processes through effective governance and technical coordination.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our global network of suppliers and internal departments like procurement, quality, and engineering.
- Conduct risk surveys for suppliers and generate detailed reports.
- Assess risk mitigation proposals, including last time buys and engineering changes.
- Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes when parts become obsolete.
- Drive technical issues to resolution by leveraging your network and engineering expertise.
- Lead initiatives focused on the continuous improvement of our electronic obsolescence workflows.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A solid technical foundation in electronics.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in operations or engineering related to electronic components.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- An autonomous, organized, and efficient approach to your work.
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- A willingness to travel occasionally to support our worldwide supply base.
- Proficiency in English, as we require an English resume with your application.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior knowledge of electronic obsolescence management.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
