We are Aviya Aerospace Systems, a prominent provider of engineering services and solutions for mission-critical applications within the aerospace and defense sectors. Our team delivers specialized expertise in software, systems, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the industry's leading contractors. We are currently looking for a Senior DPHM Software Engineer to join our engineering group in Mississauga, Ontario, on a full-time and hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

Design and manage ETL pipelines, databases, and APIs, while overseeing the full development lifecycle from initial concept through to production releases.
Ensure the integrity and reliability of data by maintaining the DPHM SSIS pipeline and performing large-scale data reprocessing within cloud environments.
Analyze engine operational data from test cells and the field to develop and validate health monitoring functions, KPI dashboards, and data cleansing scripts.

Requirements

A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred, though we will consider candidates with a background in Data Science or Data Engineering.
At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Proficiency in managing SQL and Delta Lake databases, alongside a solid grasp of data governance principles.
Strong technical skills in software validation and verification testing, combined with the ability to perform complex data queries and exploratory analysis.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
