DPHM Software Engineer at Aviyatech

Our team is currently looking for a dedicated professional to help us advance our digital engine services and health monitoring capabilities from our office in Mississauga, Ontario.

The role

We are looking for a Senior DPHM Software Engineer to join our engineering group on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in Canada. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and integrity of our data pipelines while contributing to the development of advanced engine health monitoring systems.

Core responsibilities

• Design and manage robust ETL pipelines, databases, and system APIs, overseeing the entire development lifecycle from initial concept through to production.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data by maintaining the DPHM SSIS pipeline and performing large-scale data reprocessing within cloud environments.
• Analyze operational engine data from test cells and the field to develop and validate health monitoring functions, trend cleansing scripts, and intuitive KPI dashboards.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is strongly preferred, though we will also consider candidates with a background in Data Science or Data Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Technical proficiency with SQL and Delta Lake databases, along with a solid understanding of data governance, security, and quality principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform complex data queries and exploratory analysis.
• Experience with software validation and verification testing.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
