About the Role
We are searching for a Director, Software Engineering to join us in a full-time capacity. In this executive-level position, you will oversee the engineering teams responsible for the core quoting experience on our website. You will be instrumental in driving our technical strategy, ensuring that we continue to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance solutions that solve complex challenges for our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Talent Development: You will nurture the growth of our software engineering talent across North and South America, focusing on recruiting and developing high-caliber professionals.
- Hands-On Technical Leadership: You will lead by example, balancing your management duties with active participation in coding, troubleshooting, and project oversight.
- Operational Excellence: You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior software that aligns with our strategic business goals while consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.
- At least 4 years of proven experience leading software development teams within a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
- Strong technical proficiency or the ability to quickly master Python, frontend web technologies like React and TypeScript, AWS cloud services, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to individual contributors.
- Experience working with marketplace products is highly preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
