We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team on a one-year contractor basis. You will work remotely as part of a highly skilled, collaborative group dedicated to evolving our instant-quote product and the underlying technology platform. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release high-quality software solutions.
- Review and contribute to codebases utilizing Python, Rust, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Manage the operational health of team services by deploying to AWS and Kubernetes environments and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as a software developer in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, or React, with demonstrated experience in at least two of these technologies.
- Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transaction management.
- Solid grasp of web programming concepts such as HTML, CSS, and the DOM.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- A strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
