Xometry is a rapidly expanding technology company that is fundamentally changing the way manufacturing works in America. We operate a digital marketplace that connects individuals with innovative ideas to the manufacturers who turn those concepts into reality, providing essential resources for business growth while helping buyers at Fortune 1000 companies access global manufacturing capacity. We are currently searching for a Director, SEO to join our team on a full-time and remote basis. In this executive role, you will spearhead our search engine optimization strategy for both the Xometry and Thomas brands to drive meaningful business outcomes through our organic presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sustainable SEO growth strategy for Xometry.com and Thomasnet.com while managing a dedicated team of specialists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to design campaigns, establish project requirements, and oversee the implementation of user-centric SEO initiatives.
- Identify and capitalize on search opportunities across platforms beyond traditional Google Search, including emerging discovery methods like AI chat tools and social media channels.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience encompassing hands-on technical SEO, SEO strategy, content marketing, and leadership.
- Advanced technical proficiency, including the ability to audit sites, write detailed requirements for development teams, and oversee complex implementations.
- Proven success in coordinating cross-functional teams, such as product, design, editorial, and development, to achieve shared objectives.
- Experience optimizing diverse assets including page code, structured data, video, and graphics to ensure high performance across multiple channels.
- Strong leadership skills characterized by optimism, accountability, and a commitment to developing and supporting team talent.
