Key outcomes
- Establish and manage governance frameworks to ensure our AI development aligns with the Australian AI Voluntary Safety Standards.
- Design and implement rigorous testing and evaluation processes to assess the reliability, safety, and ethical alignment of AI systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Lead proactive red-teaming initiatives to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks within our AI products.
- Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, delivering workshops to increase organizational literacy regarding AI safety principles.
- Monitor advancements in the AI landscape and regulatory changes to conduct audits and provide strategic recommendations for future investments.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in the application of Australian AI Voluntary Safety Standards within a SaaS environment.
- Proven experience in risk assessment, testing, and evaluation of AI systems, with a specific focus on Large Language Models.
- In-depth knowledge of ethical AI principles, including fairness, bias mitigation, privacy, and explainability.
- A demonstrated history of implementing AI safety practices in a commercial setting.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, AI Ethics, or Privacy Law.
- Fluency in English.

- Hands-on experience with the development and deployment of Large Language Models.
