The opportunity
We are looking for a Game Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work closely with our Creative Director to translate high-level concepts into actionable, forward-thinking gameplay designs. You will be a vital part of an interdisciplinary team, taking ownership of features from their initial inception all the way through to final implementation. Whether you are working independently or alongside other designers, your goal is to find the fun and ensure our games provide a polished, balanced experience for our players.
A day in the life
- You will design, evangelize, and iterate on complex gameplay systems and features that define the core player experience.
- You will facilitate clear communication across the studio by creating detailed design documentation and keeping it up to date for the entire team.
- You will analyze player feedback and telemetry data to fine-tune mechanics, ensuring our systems are both challenging and fair.
Who you are
You are a mid-level designer with at least 3 years of professional experience in the games industry. You have a deep understanding of strategy and turn-based tactics, and you are comfortable working within the Unreal 4 engine. You possess strong technical skills, including proficiency with visual scripting tools, and you are an excellent communicator who can provide and receive constructive feedback with ease. While we prefer candidates who are willing to relocate to our studio in Hunt Valley, Maryland, we are open to discussing remote options for the right person. You must be fluent in English to effectively collaborate with our team.
