What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. You will be instrumental in driving the technical evolution of our communication and connection platforms. We value engineers who are passionate about backend architecture and eager to work within a Node-based codebase. Your role will involve:

• Leading the development of core services, such as our recommendation engines, to improve how members interact with our platform.
• Utilizing your expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch to ensure our systems remain performant and reliable.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and designers, to build scalable, evidence-based software solutions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of hands-on experience in modern software development. We look for individuals who hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, though we are happy to consider equivalent professional experience. You should demonstrate mastery in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Golang, Python, or C++, and possess a deep understanding of system design. We value candidates who are empathetic leaders, possess a growth mindset, and are truly impact-driven. Proficiency in English is required, and you should be comfortable working in a collaborative, transparent environment where you can champion innovative solutions.
