We are currently growing our engineering department and are looking for a talented software engineer to help us build something special. Our team is focused on creating an entirely new product, and you will have the chance to work in a small, collaborative group of two or three people alongside a dedicated product manager. About the Role
This is a full-time, remote position for a mid-level Software Engineer specializing in Python and Django. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of our new product, ensuring that our code is high-quality, scalable, and easy to maintain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement clean, performant code structures that follow industry best practices and are easy for the team to maintain.
- Deliver high-quality, fully tested software while ensuring all new features include comprehensive unit test coverage.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, fellow developers, and user experience designers to scope projects and meet sprint commitments in an agile environment.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
- At least 2 years of professional experience working with Python and the Django framework.
- At least 2 years of experience building APIs using frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Django Rest Framework.
- At least 3 years of experience utilizing Python libraries including Pandas, NumPy, pytest, and boto3.
- At least 2 years of experience developing within AWS using cloud-native or serverless architectures, including tools like Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
Location
This role is fully remote, though we require all team members to be based in the Eastern Time Zone (EST).
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is 80,000 - 90,000 USD per year. We also offer the flexibility of a remote work environment.
