As we scale our operations and introduce new offerings, we are looking for a dedicated Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Japan on a hybrid basis.
Key outcomes
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable, and reusable code.
- Ensure the KrakenFlex platform maintains the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Contribute to the full development stack, ranging from front-end components to the underlying cloud infrastructure.
- Actively participate in and help shape our engineering culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions that provide real value to our customers.

Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in software development and system design.
- Proven expertise in TypeScript or Node.js.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS or similar cloud providers, particularly with serverless technologies like Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent multitasking and analytical capabilities.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency with CSS/SASS or React.
- Experience in building, securing, or managing cloud-scale infrastructure, ideally using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
