Engineering Manager at Atlan

The role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a leadership position for someone who is passionate about building a strong engineering culture and helping others grow into leaders themselves. You will be a key part of our technical leadership, bridging the gap between our engineering, product, and business teams to ensure we deliver high-quality software that meets our users' needs.

Core responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects by overseeing sprints, stand-ups, and timelines while ensuring cross-functional alignment across our frontend, backend, and cloud teams.
• Provide mentorship and support to your team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their overall happiness and success.
• Stay hands-on with the product by contributing to architecture and code, debugging production issues, and maintaining high standards for code quality and testing.

Skills and experience

• You have 12 to 15 years of experience in building SaaS B2B products, including at least 2 to 4 years of direct management experience.
• You possess strong proficiency in at least one of our core programming languages, specifically Java, Python, or Golang.
• You have a deep understanding of data management, architecture, and the modern data stack, with a focus on maintaining high quality and engineering hygiene.
• You are an excellent communicator who can effectively manage distributed teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
