Staff Software Engineer at Everstream Analytics

The role

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that is 100% remote for candidates based in the United States. In this role, you will act as a technical leader, helping to shape our engineering culture and guiding teams to build high-quality, customer-facing SaaS solutions. You will work within an agile environment to deploy cloud-native applications that help our clients navigate complex supply chain challenges.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and fellow engineers to define our roadmap and ensure the delivery of interoperable, high-impact products.
• Partner with UI/UX teams to design and implement feature-rich, high-quality user experiences.
• Establish and maintain a high standard for engineering excellence and code quality across multiple development teams.

Skills and experience

We are looking for individuals who bring deep technical expertise and a passion for solving complex problems. Your background should include:

• Over 10 years of professional, hands-on experience using Python frameworks like Django.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js for frontend development.
• Experience with Kafka and distributed systems design.
• A proven track record of leading successful software initiatives and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, profiling, and performance-tuning large, data-intensive applications.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies to deliver software on a consistent cadence.
• A solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and the full software development lifecycle.
