What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully remote team on a full-time basis. Reporting directly to our Head of Technology, you will play a vital role in developing features and maintaining the code for our mission-critical products, such as our flagship recovery tool. You will be expected to leverage your background in digital forensics and software engineering to drive our platform forward. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing scalable back-end microservices on AWS infrastructure while building intuitive front-end interfaces.
• Performing complex digital forensics tasks, including parsing file systems, reverse engineering binary data, and developing advanced pattern matching algorithms.
• Creating comprehensive technical documentation and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure effective knowledge sharing across our engineering team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess at least five years of software development experience, with a minimum of three years focused on back-end systems and two years in digital forensics. You must have expertise in TypeScript, Python, and Go, alongside experience with Angular, Node.js, and SQL. A deep understanding of AWS architecture, microservices, and OpenAPI is essential, as is proficiency with various operating system file structures and modern encryption libraries. Because our work supports sensitive investigations, all applicants must be eligible for a U.S. Top Secret Clearance. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
