CAT Labs is a fast-paced startup dedicated to building digital asset recovery and cyber defense tools that help law enforcement and private entities combat crypto crime. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will join an expert team of cryptographers, former Department of Defense scientists, and investigators to develop software that protects the digital economy and holds criminal organizations accountable.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain advanced front-end systems using React.
- Design intuitive, functional, and visually clear interfaces that simplify complex data sets.
- Take ownership of the front-end user experience and overall architecture, including the implementation of automated testing.
- Collaborate closely with product leads and back-end engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Manage high-performance, data-heavy interfaces while integrating RESTful APIs.
- Maintain high standards for code quality through thorough documentation and peer reviews.
Must-haves
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in front-end development with deep expertise in React.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- A solid grasp of web security best practices, including familiarity with OWASP vulnerabilities.
- Experience working with OAuth and JWT authentication schemes.
- Practical experience in Linux and Docker development environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment.
- Note: Candidates must be eligible for a U.S. Top Secret Clearance and be able to provide ID verification prior to the first interview. We cannot provide visa sponsorship at this time.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with data visualization tools or libraries.
- Proficiency in API design and the ability to make updates to back-end endpoints.
- Familiarity with the Angular framework.
- Background in blockchain technology, digital forensics, or regulated industries like GovTech.
- Understanding of system-level performance optimization.
