Software Engineer, Customer Success at Acryl Data

We are looking for a senior-level Software Engineer to join our Customer Success team. Acryl Data is the force behind the world's largest open-source metadata platform, which originated from technology developed at LinkedIn. Our mission is to provide clarity across complex data ecosystems through search, discovery, observability, and federated governance. Founded by the creators of LinkedIn DataHub and Airbnb Dataportal, we are backed by leading venture capital firms and support a vibrant community of 10,000 members. You will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating closely with our internal Engineering, Product, and Ingestion teams to help our diverse range of customers, from agile startups to Fortune 500 companies, achieve their data goals.

Key outcomes

• Develop new features across the frontend, backend, or ingestion layers based on specific customer requirements and your technical interests.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding clients through data ingestion, observability, and governance best practices.
• Create custom integrations and resolve technical challenges during the customer onboarding phase.
• Partner with our product and engineering groups to advocate for improvements and influence our development roadmap.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and implementation guides to support both our internal team and the broader user community.
• Engage regularly with key accounts to understand their business objectives and provide tailored technical solutions.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of modern data stacks, ELT processes, and enterprise data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and modern tools including Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Tableau, and Looker.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting customer success.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-oriented environment.
