About the Role
We are hiring an AI Technical Lead to join us on a Full Time, Hybrid basis. In this position you will guide the technical direction of our AI initiatives inside DataHub, building intelligent metadata features while shaping the infrastructure that lets organizations run AI systems responsibly at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered capabilities such as automated data classification, PII detection, and privacy-preserving machine-learning pipelines.
- Define and implement the metadata standards, model cards, lineage tracking, and governance practices required to support enterprise AI deployments.
- Mentor engineers, steer architectural decisions, and partner with product and customers to translate real-world AI challenges into roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- Eight or more years of software-engineering experience, including at least four years focused on ML or AI systems.
- Hands-on expertise with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, MLOps tooling, and production LLM deployment, fine-tuning, and monitoring.
- Strong background in AI governance, data privacy, security, vector databases, embeddings, and distributed-systems architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and a track record of shipping scalable, observable AI services in enterprise settings.
Location
This role is based in the United States and follows a hybrid schedule, with regular in-person collaboration expected at our Palo Alto office.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a salary range of $235,000 to $300,000 along with equity compensation. Additional benefits include 99 percent coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for U.S. employees, Carrot fertility and family-planning support, a monthly co-working stipend, and a one-time home-office budget.
