We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At ModernLoop, our mission is to provide the recruiting infrastructure that helps companies automate and streamline their hiring operations. Founded by veterans from companies like Facebook, Slack, Brex, and Salesforce, we are dedicated to creating a seamless experience for both recruiting teams and candidates as we scale our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy robust backend services and infrastructure that power our core product.
- Collaborate closely with our co-founders and engineering team to conceptualize new features and entire product areas.
- Mentor fellow engineers, break down complex projects into manageable tasks, and lead meaningful architectural discussions.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a solid foundation in computer science and a passion for learning new technologies. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of professional experience developing backends for web applications.
- Proficiency in functional or imperative programming languages, such as Java, Go, Python, or C.
- Experience with core deployment processes, release engineering, and monitoring systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience through fellowships or previous roles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, empathetic mindset.
