Every building, hospital, and school you see today exists because of the careful coordination of architects and their teams. Despite their vital role in shaping our world, these professionals are often forced to rely on basic spreadsheets to manage their complex operations. At Monograph, we are changing that reality. We provide a specialized firm performance management platform designed specifically for architecture and engineering practices, helping them make confident, data-driven decisions regarding their resources and budgets. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully remote team and help us redefine the future of design technology.
Key outcomes
- Develop and maintain features within our Next.js and Ruby on Rails applications to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
- Collaborate with product and engineering peers to scope, test, and ship high-quality code.
- Provide technical mentorship to teammates and engage in compassionate code reviews that foster learning.
- Participate in our RFC process to contribute to critical technical and architectural decision-making.
- Estimate project work and communicate effectively to set expectations across the team.
- Partner with customer-facing departments to ensure our platform continues to delight our users.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues to improve overall product stability.
Requirements
- Professional experience working with React, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails.
- Strong familiarity with GraphQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A collaborative mindset with a genuine openness to feedback and new ideas.
- A people-focused approach that considers the impact of technical tradeoffs on both customers and colleagues.
- An intentionally curious nature, with a drive to challenge the status quo and understand the "why" behind our work.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $190,000, depending on your experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Full premium coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families.

- A fully remote work environment with occasional team off-sites.
- Provision of a new laptop and necessary equipment.
