About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Stessa product team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will focus on building and scaling our platform, which helps real estate investors run their businesses efficiently. You will serve as a key technical leader, working with Ruby on Rails and React to solve complex challenges while mentoring other engineers on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality web applications while collaborating with our product and design teams.
- Architect innovative features that improve the user experience and ensure the long-term scalability and security of our applications.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and facilitate code reviews to maintain high standards across our engineering organization.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building robust products. Our ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional technical experience.
- Extensive, hands-on expertise with Ruby on Rails and React in a senior or lead capacity.
- Strong proficiency in database design and management using systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful web services.
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and ES6.
- Proficiency with version control tools such as Git.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Location
This is a remote position. While we welcome applicants from various locations, our ideal candidate resides in either the Eastern or Pacific Time Zone.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $157,000 to $243,000. Please note that final compensation is determined based on your specific experience, location, and relevant skills. In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits:
