The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our founding team in the United States. This is a unique chance to be a foundational member of a project that is scaling to serve millions of users. You will work alongside a highly motivated group of peers to define the engineering culture, processes, and technical standards that will support our growth for years to come. While our core stack relies on Django and TypeScript, we value engineers who are excited about building production-grade software and are eager to tackle the complexities of a distributed system.
A day in the life
- Collaborate on high-level roadmapping and architecture discussions to shape the future of our platform.
- Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code that powers our core integrations and services.
- Take ownership of large-scale projects from their initial inception all the way through to final production deployment.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You communicate clearly, adapt quickly to shifting business needs, and have a strong sense of prioritization. Your background includes:
- A technical degree with 3 to 4 years of industry experience, or 5 to 6 years of full-time backend engineering experience.
- At least one year of hands-on experience working with a web framework like Django.
- Deep expertise in SQL databases, with a strong preference for PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience building and maintaining integrations, webhooks, and APIs.
- Familiarity with our technical ecosystem, including React, GraphQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Fluency in English.
