The role
We are seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a high-impact position for an experienced developer who is ready to take ownership of our backend infrastructure. As an early member of our core team, you will bridge the gap between web-scale applications and blockchain technology, playing a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction and the stability of our user-facing decentralized applications.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and maintain critical backend services for our dApps and bots using Python or JavaScript.
- Expand the functionality of our internal SDKs while ensuring all code is production-ready, reusable, and thoroughly tested.
- Manage backend infrastructure and security, including secret management and service maintenance for our marketing and operational tools.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should be a collaborative engineer who thrives in a distributed environment. We value clear communication and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Expertise in JavaScript and Python, with proficiency in Go and Rust.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js, Docker, and database technologies such as PostgreSQL and SQLite.
- Familiarity with caching mechanisms like Redis or Memcache.
- A keen interest in blockchain governance and a desire to work within the DeFi ecosystem.
- Comfort with asynchronous communication, code reviews, and pair programming.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $250,000 USD per year. In addition to your compensation, you will have access to the following benefits:
