At ABL Space Systems, we are driven by a bold vision for the future. We believe that within a decade, space missions will launch daily from every corner of the globe. To make this a reality, we are building the RS1 launch vehicle and the GS0 modular ground system, creating low-cost, reliable access to orbit. Our team is composed of dedicated engineers, technicians, and operators who thrive on solving the complex challenges of space flight with simple, effective solutions. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us as we pave the way for the next generation of space technology.
The opportunity
This is a general application for Senior Engineering talent interested in contributing to our mission. We are constantly looking for experts in fields such as propulsion, structures, avionics, electrical systems, GNC, test, integration, software, and manufacturing. While this is not a posting for a specific current opening, we invite you to submit your background if you are eager to help us refine the hardware and software that will power our future launches. Please note that submitting an application here does not guarantee consideration for a specific role, but it does allow us to keep your information on hand as our team grows.
A day in the life
- You will contribute directly to the development of our RS1 rocket and ground operations, ensuring our systems are flight-ready.
- You will work within a small, highly collaborative team of talented engineers and technicians to solve real-world aerospace problems.
- You will take full ownership of your projects, seeing them through from initial design to final delivery.
Who you are
You are a critical thinker who always seeks to understand the "why" behind every design decision, test outcome, and operational event. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and are capable of defining your own path to reach an objective. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
- You have professional experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, aviation, satellite development, or consumer electronics.
- You are proficient in English.
- Because our work involves information protected by US export control laws, you must be a US person, which includes US citizens, permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status.
Why you'll love it here
We are a team that values end-to-end ownership and the ability to make a tangible impact on the future of space travel. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome qualified applicants of all backgrounds and ages. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status. If you are ready to tackle the challenges of space launch and want to work in an environment that prioritizes innovation and simplicity, we would love to hear from you.
