Our team is composed of professionals from industry-leading companies like Google, Spotify, and Oscar Health, all working together to automate the complexities of the mortgage and housing sector using a stack that includes Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Drive successful business outcomes by leading a team of four or more engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to create and execute research and development strategies that solve real problems for homeowners.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of talented engineers.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including contributing to architecture design and coding, to set a high bar for excellence.
• Implement and promote new processes that increase team efficiency and overall impact.
• Utilize data-driven decision-making to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
• Work alongside other engineering leaders to shape the broader culture and technical direction of our organization.

Must-haves

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
• A proven track record of building and empowering long-lasting, effective teams.
• Experience navigating complex technical environments and thriving in the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound, independent decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A passion for achieving significant business impact through strategic resource planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Management role.

The base salary range for this position is $190,000 – $240,000 USD.
