Core responsibilities
- Lead feature projects from conception to completion by collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to solve complex challenges in the e-commerce space.
- Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices for documentation, automated testing, and secure coding, ensuring our codebase remains clean, scalable, and maintainable.
- Leverage your deep technical expertise to build and improve our back-end APIs and curation platforms while supporting team-wide DevOps initiatives using infrastructure and scripting knowledge.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in SaaS environments and a passion for building high-performance systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven experience leading and owning complex SaaS systems with a primary focus on back-end services.
- Mastery of Python or Scala, along with experience in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript.
- A demonstrated architectural mindset, specifically regarding system performance and scalability.
- Proficiency with modern infrastructure tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
- Experience working with data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to translate technical concepts for customer success teams and end users.
Compensation and benefits
We provide a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can grow your career while working with some of the world's most recognizable brands. Our benefits package includes:
- Hybrid work flexibility and flexible working hours.
- An Employee Assistance Program to support your well-being.
- Unlimited PTO, sick days, and dedicated community days.
- Corporate group insurance coverage after your first three months.
- An open-minded, agile culture that prioritizes professional development.
