At Rialtic, we are building an enterprise software platform that helps health insurers and providers manage their most critical business functions. Since our founding in 2020, we have been backed by leading investors to tackle the massive challenge of reducing costs and improving the quality of care across the healthcare industry. We are currently working with some of the largest healthcare organizations in the United States, and we would love for you to help us improve the revenue cycle and reduce administrative waste.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core platform team and focus on our data stack. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates based in the United States. As a senior member of our team, you will play a vital role in advancing our data infrastructure, which supports our mission to make the healthcare system more efficient for everyone.
What will you do?
- Define and implement data mapping strategies for healthcare claims and related information to support both historical loads and ongoing data flows.
- Develop and maintain pipeline components, DAGs, and documentation for ETL/ELT processes, ensuring high standards for data validation, observability, and error reporting.
- Collaborate with our cloud and SRE teams to optimize the performance and storage requirements of our data lakes, warehouses, and file storage systems.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data engineering and a passion for building robust, scalable systems. We value candidates who are lifelong learners and effective communicators.
- You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a data-focused software developer, including modeling and evolving ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses.
- You are highly proficient with SQL and understand the nuances of various database types, such as relational and document-oriented stores.
- You bring at least 3 years of meaningful coding experience with Python.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and are comfortable with asynchronous communication, which is essential for our remote-first environment.
- It is a strong plus if you have experience with a compiled language like Golang, though we are happy to help you grow in this area if you have a solid programming foundation.
- Experience with tools like AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, or Spark is helpful, but not required.
What's in it for you?
We believe in taking care of our team and providing a supportive environment where you can do your best work. Our benefits include:
- The freedom to work from wherever you are most productive, supported by a home office stipend.
- Competitive compensation packages that include meaningful equity.
- A 401k plan with company matching.
- Comprehensive medical insurance with generous contributions to premiums.
- Flexible PTO and a wellness stipend.
- Access to mental and physical wellness support through subscriptions to TalkSpace, Teladoc, and One Medical.
