Senior ML Engineer at MainStreet

Since our start in 2019, we have successfully saved our customers over $100 million by demystifying complex tax credits. We have grown from a three-person team to a thriving organization backed by a $60 million Series A, and we are now looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join us on a full-time, hybrid basis. Our team is composed of former employees from companies like Google, Slack, and Coinbase, and we pride ourselves on being a group of big thinkers who move fast and value collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize machine learning models that integrate directly into our products to solve complex business challenges.
• Collaborate closely with our software engineering teams to deploy models into production environments and monitor their performance over time.
• Conduct research on state-of-the-art algorithms and prepare high-quality datasets to ensure our systems remain accurate and effective.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background who is passionate about building intelligent systems. You should have a solid foundation in Computer Science or a related field, typically supported by a Bachelor's or Master's degree, though a Ph.D. is also welcomed. We value candidates who possess the following:

• Extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using industry-standard libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• A deep understanding of mathematics, statistics, and software engineering principles, including the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

What we offer
