PostHog serves as the context layer for products, allowing teams to ingest and utilize analytics, error logs, and business data. We are a well-funded, product-led company that has grown rapidly since our launch, and we are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our fully remote team to help us build and ship fast.
Responsibilities
- Own products and features from the initial concept through to production, including gathering user feedback and managing iterations.
- Handle the full stack of your projects, including basic UX implementation using our design system and collaborating with our design team for refinements.
- Engage directly with users to understand their needs, bounce ideas around, and incorporate their input into your development process.
- Participate in our support rotation as a Support Hero to resolve customer issues and provide real-time improvements.
- Create clear, high-quality documentation for the features and tools you build.
Must-haves
- Proven experience building software that is actively used by agents, including familiarity with MCP servers, APIs, and machine-readable documentation.
- Strong full-stack engineering background, specifically with technologies like Python and React.
- A track record of taking projects from the initial idea to a finished product, whether through professional roles, previous founder experience, or significant side projects.
- Excellent written communication skills, as we prioritize documenting our work and sharing ideas publicly.
- A proactive, low-ego approach to problem-solving and a genuine passion for building software.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working within a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Deep technical expertise in Django or TypeScript-based React.
- Background in developing AI-native products or integrating AI capabilities into existing software.
