What you bring

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a full-time, remote team in designing and building high-impact products. We operate in a technical environment featuring Java, React, GraphQL, AWS, Kafka, and DynamoDB. Your role is central to our mission, and you will be responsible for the following:

• Architecting and developing end-to-end solutions that deliver an exceptional experience for our members.
• Mentoring and evaluating engineering staff to foster a culture of professional growth and technical excellence.
• Managing the full software development life cycle, including production support and participating in our 24/7 on-call rotation for critical issues.

Requirements

We are looking for a leader with at least 8 years of professional software development experience and 2 years of direct management or team lead experience. You should be comfortable working in a language-agnostic environment, with demonstrable skills in at least two modern programming languages. A strong candidate will have hands-on experience with microservices, cloud environments like AWS, and both SQL and NoSQL database variants. We value individuals who are well-versed in Agile and Lean methodologies and who prioritize quality through practices like TDD or BDD. Proficiency in English is required to collaborate effectively with our distributed team.
