At Habitat Health, we are dedicated to helping older adults enjoy more quality days within their own homes and communities. By utilizing the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, we provide a blend of clinical care and daily support services, such as transportation and meals. We are backed by prominent investors like Kaiser Permanente and New Enterprise Associates, and we are currently entering a phase of rapid growth as we scale our model to meet the evolving needs of aging populations.
The role
We are seeking our first Data Product Manager to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a mid-level, hands-on position reporting directly to the VP of Product. You will act as a technical individual contributor, owning the roadmap and strategic direction for our data products and infrastructure. This role is ideal for a candidate with approximately two years of experience or more who is comfortable bridging the gap between high-level business objectives and the technical realities of development.
Core responsibilities
- Discovery and Strategy: Define business problems and prioritize initiatives, such as determining the most impactful data projects for our clinical and operational teams.
- End-to-End Delivery: Manage the full product lifecycle, including writing technical specifications, overseeing the Jira backlog and sprint process, conducting user acceptance testing, and handling final rollouts.
- Technical Execution: Perform hands-on work using SQL and Git to validate data and review code, while leveraging AI tools to accelerate workflows and model technical fluency for the team.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in product management or data analytics, specifically with experience shipping data products or dashboards. We are looking for candidates who have:
- Proficiency in SQL for independent data querying and troubleshooting.
- Experience with modern data stacks, including Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Jira, and Git.
- A solid understanding of healthcare data systems and ontologies.
- The ability to write clear, precise technical specifications for developers.
- A collaborative mindset with experience working alongside clinical or operational stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for using AI tools to improve documentation and productivity.
- Fluency in English.
