Esper was established in 2018 to modernize government policymaking by connecting data, stakeholders, and policy goals into a more responsive system. We are currently seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team as the primary lead for all design initiatives, reporting directly to our VP of Product.
Responsibilities
- Identify complex design challenges and develop elegant, user-focused solutions.
- Perform user research to gain deep insights into the motivations and behaviors of our users.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes that ensure a cohesive experience across our platforms.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to balance business goals with technical feasibility.
- Work alongside developers to ensure high-quality implementation and maintain our design system using tools like Storybook.
- Prioritize accessibility to ensure our products meet all necessary regulatory standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and design best practices to continuously improve our output.
Must-haves
- At least 6 years of experience in Enterprise SaaS UX design, supported by a strong portfolio.
- Proven ability to develop design strategies for data-heavy platforms.
- Experience conducting qualitative research directly with customers.
- Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on workflow-based products.
- Expertise in information architecture, process flows, and micro-interactions.
- Fluency in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
