Frontend Engineer, Platform at Doppel

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Platform team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere. In this role, you will be a foundational member of a small, ambitious team tasked with building a frontend platform so complete that it changes how we ship software. You will be responsible for elevating the UI and UX across our core product, ensuring our enterprise customers have a modern, performant, and trustworthy experience.

What will you do?

• Build and maintain the core frontend infrastructure, including the application shell, data layer, routing, and deployment pipelines, to allow product teams to focus on features rather than plumbing.
• Evolve our design system into a rigorous contract of composable primitives and guardrails that ensure AI-generated code is correct by construction.
• Develop the design-to-production pipeline by creating the tooling and workflows that enable designers and engineers to move from a Figma concept to a shipped, production-quality surface without manual coding.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of software engineering experience and a deep technical background in React and TypeScript. We are looking for someone who thinks like a platform engineer, meaning you measure your success by the velocity and quality of the work other teams can produce using your tools. You should be genuinely excited about AI-assisted development and comfortable operating in an environment where the charter is still being defined. Experience with GraphQL, Relay, Storybook, and Figma workflows is highly valued, as is a strong grasp of production monitoring and performance metrics.
