Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join us in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a vital leadership position where you will spend half your time mentoring and growing our software and QA engineering teams, and the other half providing hands-on technical contributions. You will help steward our platform, ensuring it remains stable, secure, and ready to scale as we continue our mission.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor: You will manage our engineering and QA talent, fostering an inclusive culture while driving hiring initiatives and supporting the career growth of your direct reports.
- Define quality strategy: You will establish a scalable approach to testing, combining automated, manual, and regression methods to ensure a reliable platform while monitoring key metrics to eliminate release bottlenecks.
- Drive technical delivery: You will design and refine our development processes, managing capacity and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-velocity, predictable delivery of our telehealth solutions.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone with a strong technical background and a heart for our mission. You should have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a management or tech lead role. You must be comfortable working with Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, React, and AWS Lambda. We also require a deep understanding of quality assurance workflows and the ability to balance hands-on coding with strategic leadership. Because our work is centered on the transgender community, having empathy for the unique barriers faced by our patients is essential. Proficiency in English is required, and you must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
