We are creating a modern, cloud-native, and AI-powered operating system called RadOS to unify radiology IT into a single, efficient workspace. About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the data-intensive applications and services that define how doctors interact with medical imagery in the age of machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and scientists to solve complex problems and turn our vision into a tangible roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust API solutions for web services, ensuring all data generated or ingested by radiologists is stored and exposed effectively using test-driven development.
- Develop performant and reliable systems to manage and transfer large volumes of medical data to our clients.
- Collaborate across teams with frontend and quality engineers to architect, write, test, and deploy high-quality code.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience working with Python or a similar object-oriented language, with a preference for Python 3.
- At least 5 years of experience in API design and working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- A proven ability to diagnose and prevent performance bottlenecks, particularly when working with large-scale systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation and RFCs.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate trade-offs between different technical solutions based on business needs.
- Experience with AWS and Django is considered a significant plus.
Location
This position is based in San Francisco, CA and is an on-site role.
Compensation and Benefits
