Key outcomes
- Identify, select, and implement modern data transformation and governance tools to enhance our data platform capabilities.
- Design intuitive data mart models and product specifications that empower our analytics, engineering, and business teams.
- Manage data integration requirements for our Redshift Data Warehouse.
- Collaborate across departments to design, test, and deploy efficient data systems.
- Implement observability best practices to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Partner with engineering teams to refine instrumentation needs and optimize data pipelines.
- Write and deploy transformation code using agile methodologies.
- Support efforts to maintain high database performance and system uptime.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Strong background in data modeling, data mart design, governance, lineage, and observability.
- Proven experience working with AWS or similar cloud-based database environments.
- Familiarity with data management frameworks and tools such as dbt, coalesce, or Monte Carlo.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A location in Moldova, Romania, or neighboring Eastern European countries to maintain alignment with our primary engineering team.
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in Ruby or other additional programming languages.
- Practical experience working with Looker and LookML.
Compensation
We offer a market-leading salary for this position. Our team members also enjoy a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in a high-tech modern office in central Chișinău, which is available to those based in Moldova or those willing to travel occasionally. We support a hybrid work model for local staff and offer remote options for those based outside of Moldova.
