Senior Analytics Data Engineer at Mixbook Moldova

We are a profitable, growing company backed by a culture of craftsmanship and empathy, and we are looking for a Senior Analytics Data Engineer to strengthen the data infrastructure that supports our AI investments and predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

• Identify, select, and implement modern data transformation and governance tools to improve our overall data platform.
• Design scalable data mart models that serve the specific needs of our business, analytics, and engineering teams.
• Define specifications for data integrations within our Redshift Data Warehouse.
• Collaborate across departments to test and implement efficient data systems while establishing strong observability practices to ensure data integrity.
• Partner with engineering teams to refine data instrumentation and ensure our pipelines accurately reflect how data is produced.
• Write, deploy, and maintain transformation code using agile methodologies.
• Optimize database performance and maintain high system uptime.

Must-haves

• At least 4 years of professional experience working as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Software Engineer.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong experience with AWS or similar cloud-based database environments.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data mart design, governance, lineage, and observability.
• Proven experience with data management frameworks and tools like dbt or coalesce.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Looker and LookML.
• Proficiency in Ruby or other additional programming languages.
