The role

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Systems to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a strategic leadership position designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of IT and finance. You will play a critical role in shaping our systems landscape, ensuring our financial processes are not only efficient but also capable of supporting the complex needs of a modern professional services firm.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of our financial applications by engineering business processes and driving the delivery of high-impact financial reports and dashboards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on finance technology, providing technical guidance, training, and documentation to stakeholders across the organization.
• Maintain the overall health of our financial systems, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity while managing complex integrations and system improvements.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in both finance and technology. We require a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting financial systems, ideally within a law firm or a similar professional services environment. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or computer science. If your degree is in finance or accounting, you must demonstrate significant IT experience, and vice versa.

Your technical toolkit should include:

• Proficiency in 3E is required for this role.
• Advanced technical skills in SQL and Excel.
• Experience managing data models, master data dictionaries, and various system integrations.
• A deep understanding of professional services financial processes, such as billing, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closings.
• Demonstrated ability in technical leadership and project management to guide teams and implement new practices effectively.

Compensation and benefits

For this position, the salary range is $160,000 to $175,000 USD. The final compensation offered will be determined by a variety of factors, including your specific qualifications, years of relevant experience, educational background, professional certifications, and your work location.
