The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join us as an early member of our data science team. In this role, you will take full ownership of framing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that help us understand the risk profiles of various businesses. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with our product and software engineering teams to turn structured and unstructured data into actionable insights. This is a full-time, remote position that offers you the chance to drive project direction while working on a global scale.

A day in the life

• You will design and deploy scalable machine learning models that process diverse data sources, including geolocation, satellite imagery, and web data.
• You will participate in two-week sprints, working in tandem with product managers and engineers to solve complex technical challenges.
• You will tackle the full lifecycle of model development, from initial research and experimentation to production-grade deployment.

Who you are

You are a driven engineer who thrives on solving difficult problems and finding creative ways to overcome obstacles. You communicate with clarity and respect, and you are always looking for the best tool to get the job done.

• You have 3+ years of professional experience in engineering and data science.
• You possess a deep understanding of applied machine learning, with a strong focus on NLP and statistics.
• You are highly proficient in Python and its primary data science libraries, with a proven track record of moving models into production.
• You are comfortable bridging the gap between data science and core engineering.
• Experience with AWS, data analytics, and data engineering is considered a significant plus.
• You are fluent in English.
