Full Stack Software Engineer at SafeLease

We are SafeLease, and we help commercial real estate owners maximize the value of their assets. Our engineering team is currently building a new suite of products that expand on the success of our tenant insurance offerings. We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. As one of our first 50 teammates, you will work directly with our founding team and principal engineer to build our technical foundation, influence our codebase, and help shape our company culture. This role is based in our downtown Austin, Texas office, with opportunities for hybrid work in the future.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack features that unlock new revenue channels and optimize our data-driven pricing models.
• Collaborate with our product and support teams to scope, plan, and execute technical patches and maintenance releases.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges by designing creative, innovative solutions that improve our overall system performance and efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in software development, ideally within a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong proficiency in Node and React, along with experience managing API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with REST-based web services and JSON data representations.
• Experience using Git for version control and a solid understanding of web application servers.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving and collaboration.
