We are now looking for a visionary Senior Data Scientist to join our Skunkworks team, an agile group dedicated to early-stage research, prototyping, and shaping the next generation of mobility solutions.

The opportunity

As a key member of our Skunkworks team, you will act as a bridge between complex data and actionable policy. You will work closely with our product management team to explore new market frontiers, turning high-level concepts into tangible prototypes and algorithmic breakthroughs. This role is perfect for a self-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to see their data science work directly influence the future of transportation systems.

A day in the life

• Design and implement innovative algorithms and models to extract meaningful transportation patterns from both our proprietary datasets and third-party sources.
• Collaborate with product managers and fellow data scientists to translate research into clear, compelling visualizations and dashboards that tell a powerful story.
• Research academic and public data sources to validate new metrics, ensuring our solutions remain at the cutting edge of the industry.

Who you are

You are a creative problem solver with a deep passion for data storytelling. You have the technical expertise to handle large-scale data challenges and the communication skills to explain your findings to diverse stakeholders. We are looking for someone who brings the following qualifications:

• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of experience in statistics and exploratory data analysis using Python.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL, with a proven ability to manage very large datasets.
• Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau or ESRI to bring insights to life.
• Fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting within the United States.
