Responsibilities
- Develop highly deterministic C++ software within bare metal environments.
- Integrate software with vehicle subsystems, sensors, and control systems while ensuring robust fault handling.
- Define technical requirements and implement comprehensive unit tests.
- Collaborate directly with flight hardware in lab settings and on aircraft.
- Plan and participate in flight testing to see your code in action.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time to support project needs.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with C or C++.
- Proven background in developing software for embedded or high-performance applications.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Eligibility to access information subject to U.S. export controls.
Nice-to-haves
- Deep knowledge of networking, operating systems, and computer architecture.
- Experience with DO-178C standards.
- Over 7 years of experience with C or C++.
- Background in developing software for safety-critical systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
